Will international transaction charges apply to my order?Updated a month ago

International Transaction Charges:

The amount charged by Makedo includes only the cost of the products purchased and any applicable shipping fees.

Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign transaction or currency conversion fees if you are paying with an international card or a card denominated in a currency other than AUD, as Makedo is an Australian company. These fees are charged by your card issuer, not by Makedo, and we do not receive any portion of them. 

We do not charge additional card processing fees, international transaction fees, or currency conversion fees at the time of checkout. Any such fees that may appear on your statement are set and charged by your card issuer or bank, and are outside of Makedo’s control.

In our experience, the fee is generally around 1-2% of the total purchase, although some banks also combine a flat fee + a percentage, or their own markup on exchange rates. 

As this fee is external to our billing system, we are not able to include the charges on an invoice issued by Makedo.
